The General Plan Update process includes:
- Citizen review and input- Meetings hosted by the City to hear citizen input and review the updated Plan draft
- 60 day review by outside agencies
- Gathering of comments received
- Formal Citizen Review meeting held by the City’s Planning & Zoning Commission
- Formal Public Hearing held by the City’s Planning & Zoning Commission, after which they will make a recommendation to Council
- Formal Public Hearing held by the City Council, after which a final decision may be made on the updated Plan.
- If adopted by the City Council, the updated General Plan will be placed on the ballot of an election for possible approval by the voters.
