Park Reservations

Overview


The parks are designed for the use of Litchfield Park residents but are open to all members of the general public. Use of the parks for special functions or organized sports activities are scheduled through the Litchfield Park Recreation Center Office.

The City's eleven (11) parks are used by the City to conduct Litchfield Park sponsored youth and adult sport programs. Resident and non-resident inquiries regarding availability and park reservations may be directed to the Community and Recreation Services Department.

Do I need a permit to use the parks?


Parks are public parks and do not require a permit for general leisure use. Portions of our parks my be reserved by the hour for special functions such as birthday parties, church picnics, reunions, etc.

Who do I contact to reserve a park facility?


Contact the Litchfield Park Recreation Center at 623-935-9040 or by email. Park use reservations are approved by the Community and Recreation Services Department.

How do I reserve a park?

 
Please call the City of Litchfield Park Recreation Center to reserve a park or for questions about availability.  A use agreement will be filled out for you and you must come to the Recreation Center to sign the agreement and pay the reservation fee. Any group over 50 individuals must carry liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000.00 and must have the City of Litchfield Park listed as additional insured. A copy of the insurance policy is required.
 

Is alcohol allowed in the parks?


Alcohol is not permitted in the parks without a permit. For a permit to be issued, a party must petition the City Council to allow the City Clerk to issue a permit to consume alcohol in the parks. At the time of the rental request, discuss the application process with Pat McCoy, Park Reservations.
