This is a fun family event!  Grab your poles, round up the kids, and enjoy a day of fishing. 750 pounds of trout will be stocked in Tierra Verde Lake for our annual Winter Trout Derby. Age group trophies are awarded in the following categories: longest, shortest, and most trout caught. There will also be opportunities to win raffle prizes.

A fishing license is not needed to take part in the derby; however, participants must bring their own poles and bait. If you intend to fish after the derby or on a different day, you must purchase a fishing permit at the Litchfield Park Recreation Center, located at 100 S. Old Litchfield Rd.
