The Litchfield Park Magistrate handles civil traffic, misdemeanor violations, parking violations, city ordinance, city code violations and petty offenses. If you need an order of protection or an injunction prohibiting harassment, please visit any of the surrounding Maricopa County Justice Courts or you may appear on Wednesday afternoons at the Goodyear Justice Facility.

If you have a civil traffic citation/ticket and wish to take care of your citation without appearing in court, you may appear at 214 West Wigwam Boulevard or call the office at 623-935-7091. If you wish to contest a Civil Traffic Citation, you must submit your request in writing by mail, fax (623) 535-1831, or by appearing at your arraignment/court date. You must also submit with your notice your current mailing address and phone number. The Court will contact you for a future court date.
If you are NOT scheduled for a court appearance but have an active or pending case and wish to see a judge, you must call the Court and appear when the Court Staff provides you with a date. Do not appear prior to notifying the Court Staff.
All criminal violations require a mandatory court appearance. Make sure you appear on the date written on your citation/ticket. If you appear at the Goodyear Justic Facility on a day other than your scheduled court date, assistance will not be available. Goodyear’s staff does not have information pertaining to Litchfield Park citations.
Please do not mail or fax any documentation to the Goodyear Municipal Court; doing so may cause delays to your case and possible warrants and license suspensions.

Defensive Driving School
Litchfield Park City Court allows defensive driving classes for those who receive tickets for certain moving violations. There are a few requirements that must be met prior to attending a class. You are eligible if:
• You have not attended a defensive driving school in the past two (2) years
• You do not have a CDL driver’s license
• You are not presently enrolled in a class for another ticket
• Your ticket did not result from an accident involving a death or a serious injury
• You were at least 18 years old at the time of the violation. (If you are under 18, you must contact the Court for approval).
If you meet the above requirements, you may enroll in a defensive driving school program. Please inform the Court prior to scheduling your appointment. For a list of providers call toll free, 1-888-334-5565 or visit the website www.supreme.state.az.us/driveschoolinfo. After you have selected a provider, you may then call the school to schedule a date to attend.
The items listed below will be needed for class participation. Please
do not forget any of the listed items, as you will not be able to attend
your scheduled class.
• Your driver’s license
• Your citation/ticket
• Pen or pencil and paper
• A money order in the amount of $240.00
Forms of Payment Accepted for Paying Fines/Fees
Payment may be made by: money order, cashier’s check, debit or credit (Visa, Master Card, or Discover); or if paying in person, cash is accepted. Make your money order or cashier’s check payable to Litchfield Park City Court. Please include your complaint number and/or case number.

You may call the Court to pay by credit card at (623) 935-7091 or appear in person at 214 West Wigwam Boulevard. All payments must be made by 3 p.m.
Payment is due in full on the date the fine is imposed. If you do not pay in full, there will be a $20 time payment fee assessed. If you are delinquent in paying your fine, there will be a $45.00 default fee applied to your account with a possible warrant being issued (criminal violations only) and/or suspension to your driver’s license.
Marriage Licenses
The City Court does not issue marriage licenses. You may contact the Clerk of Superior Court’s Office at 602-506-3360 for further information.
Delinquent Accounts and What the Court May Do
• Notify the Arizona Department of Revenue to deduct from your tax refund
• Notify a collection agency, which will apply additional fees to your balance
• Notify a credit reporting bureau of your delinquent balance
• Take other legally appropriate action against you
