Lagartos Summer Swim Team
Overview
The summer swim team’s goal is to provide an atmosphere for children ages 5 to 18 years of age to have fun, be
with their friends, learn new skills and be a supporting team member. This is not swim lessons; the group is too large for non-swimmers. Groups are divided by age and skill level. If the child has participated in any swimming team/club outside the Mar West League from August 1, 2015 - May 1, 2016, the child must compete one age group above their age on June 1st of the current year due to league regulations. (An exception is made for swimmers 8 years and under and 15 years and older).

Lagartos Summer Swim Team meets are scheduled Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings to compete against participating west valley recreation recreation swim teams at home (Recreation Center) and away (participating west valley pools). Participants should follow the swim team warm up schedule unless otherwise changed by the coaching staff. Lagartos Swim Clinics help swimmers with strokes, flip-turns and starts. View season details online under "activites and preschool" tab. Use the filters on the left side of the page to search our aquatics activities.

Lagartos Swim Suits
The team swim suits are not mandatory. Male Speedos are not mandatory either, but a full piece suit is mandatory for girls. If you do not wish to purchase a team suit but would like to match the team then try to get a blue or green colored suit.

The suits are purchased from Ski Pro. If you are going to purchase a suit, Ski Pro will be at the Litchfield Recreation Center for two days and you can ONLY purchase the suits on these days. They will have a suit try on kit to determine your child’s suit size.

Purchase Prices
The swim suits may seem a little costly, but they are a very good quality and the swim team will use these suits for two years. The swim-a-thons are an excellent opportunity for the swimmers to raise money to purchase the suits.
