General Plan 2020 Update

The General Plan Update process includes:

  • Citizen review and input- Meetings hosted by the City to hear citizen input and review the updated Plan draft
  • 60 day review by outside agencies
  • Gathering of comments received
  • Formal Citizen Review meeting held by the City’s Planning & Zoning Commission
  • Formal Public Hearing held by the City’s Planning & Zoning Commission, after which they will make a recommendation to Council
  • Formal Public Hearing held by the City Council, after which a final decision may be made on the updated Plan.
  • If adopted by the City Council, the updated General Plan will be placed on the ballot of an election for possible approval by the voters.
